Battlezone: Combat Commander – Reshade Setup and Guide

G’day fellow Combat Commanders!

I’ve made a quick guide here to help anyone getting Reshade to work on BZCC, as it’s one of those games that requires a bit more than just clicking install.

Required Items

First up, get the latest version of Reshade (v5.4.1 as of writing): Link

Installation and Config

Now that we have our required item, it’s time to install and configure everything.

1. Install/unzip into your game installation directory (\steamapps\common\BZ2R), make sure to select DirectX9/10/11 option for Reshade.

هذا كل شيء! If you’ve followed these instructions correctly you will now have Reshade working on BZCC!

Reshade does have full depth buffer access, لكن, the game creates a number of buffers, and as such AO and RTGI don’t appear as they should. I don’t have enough skill with this to know how to fix it. If I am able to fix it, I’ll update the guide accordingly.

كن على علم:the game will crash when alt-tabbing or editing Pre-processor Definitions due to a normal small hang when re-loading active effects. To get around this simply toggle effects off when tabbing or editing and re-enable them when playing.
